I had been planning to do a post about some blogs that I read, like and admire for a while. When Holly Becker from decor8 called out a #bloghug party I thought: Perfect timing to introduce you to some of my favourite blogs. I picked three very different examples. Because I like so many!
I discovered local milk by Beth Kirby because I am one of her many (at this moment: 37.042) followers on pinterest. From there I hopped over to her blog and found myself in a very special place. Beth is a freelance photographer and recipe developer from Tennessee who writes about food, photography and life. Her photography is simply stunning. You can feel, smell and taste the food through her images.
And she has opinions and a story to tell, too. (And probably the longest about page I've ever seen.)
I guess you could say that Breanna Rose is a rising star on the design blogger sky - and it's well deserved. Her blog is far more than a tool to promote her little business as a freelance graphic designer. Because she shares: generously and genuinely. I am not talking about a giveaway here and a printable there in exchange for facebook likes or newsletter sign ups - she shares her experience, her music, tips and tricks and her work. Her style is very pure, simple and consistent. I don't know how she is coming up with a new well thought out and beautifully designed post almost every day while running and building up her own freelance business at the same time. She doesn't sleep much, probably. Good for us!
On binichic Ona Villier writes about the mediterranian touch in design, art, fashion and lifestyle, often pointing out where the rustic and antique and the modern and contemporary meet and combine. Ona was born on the little Balearic Island Menorca into a Spanish/American family of artists. Binichic is influenced both by her artistic family background and the mediterranian architecture and nature.
Besides being a talented designer, online shop owner and blogger Ona is also a good friend of mine who I had not seen for more than ten years until we met again at her epic wedding in Tuscany last summer. It was also through reading her blog that we reconnected - see where that can take you! You will read more about Ona and her blog (and brand) binichic on MINA MOKA because she has an exciting project coming up soon. Until then please hop over and let her take you to the Mediterraneans. Very much needed at this time of the year!
P.s. If some of you thought that you put a lot of thought and effort into finding the perfect wedding dress - read Ona's posts about the making of her wedding dress and remain silent forever.
I hope you can take some time to visit these blogs, it's worth it! I also want to send a big #bloghug back to Sandy from Confiture de Vivre and of course to all the others who I read and like!
Have a nice weekend!
